COMMUNITY SPACES FOR PEOPLE ON THE MOVE & LOCALS IN ATHENS
Khora is an association based in Athens, Greece. We run a community centre and radio project throughout three buildings in Kypseli and Exarcheia, and provide services to anyone that needs them. We value solidarity, autonomy, community, and the right of everyone to access the basic means to live in our city.
Projects
Social Kitchen
The Khora community kitchen cooks free hot vegan nutritious meals. Monday & Friday 12.30 - 15.00 and Tuesday & Wednesday from 20.00. Eat in or take-away.
KAST - Asylum Support
The Khora Asylum Support Team offers information and legal support to people navigating the Greek asylum system, as well as assistance to people trying to access other services in Athens, such as social services, basic needs and health care.
Free Shop
Khora Free Shop provides clothing, blankets and toiletries, as well as some items for children such as toys and school items.
The Beehive
The Beehive is a welcoming and supportive maker space with a focus on arts and crafts as therapeutic practice, with particular focus on women and LGBTQIA+ migrants and asylum seekers.
