The Free Shop
Since November 2016, the Khora Free Shop has provided access to clothing and shoes, as well as essential basic toiletries, and blankets. Our vision is to move away from distribution lines, instead allowing people a dignified free shopping experience, where they have choice, and can find items of clothing that both fit them and express their identity.
In December 2017 we moved to a new shop front which has given us the opportunity to provide more items to more people, to offer a better experience for those that come to shop, and to work more closely with the local community.
COVID-19
We have modified our service to ensure we follow government guidelines. This means only 6 people are allowed in the shop at one time. You will have 15-30 minutes to shop during your appointment. Only 1 family member will be allowed to shop and you must wear a mask. Hand sanitizer is also provided at the front door. We appreciate your understanding.
How to collect clothes
The Free Shop runs on an appointment system only. We have up to a thousand people coming through the shop every week! You must register first to receive an appointment.
To register, we only need your name, number of family members, their ages and contact details. You can visit the shop during open hours and then we will register you and give you the next available appointment to collect clothes. This may not be the same day. Please make sure you come to the shop at the correct day and time of your appointment.

When you come during your appointment you will be able to shop freely. Everything in the shop is free. When you finish shopping, you will be given a new appointment approximately 1 month later.
