The painting tells of a true childhood memory of Hassoun. When he was young he was watching Mickey Mouse a lot. Every day his mother was making him food and calling him over to come and eat. He tells her: I'm coming, I'm coming, but he is not moving at all and keeps watching Mickey Mouse. The family will eat without him. When he finished watching Mickey Mouse he is hungry and asks his mum for food. She jokes that there is nothing left because he did not come. Hassoun starts crying and his mum reveals the food she had been hiding from him. To this day he still behaves in the same way.
