Tomato, Aubergine and Zucchini above the sea of fog
Gabriel Luis Armando Da Gama Papadopoulou, acrylic on canvas (40 x 50 cm)
Considered one of the masterpieces of Vegexistentialism and one of the most representative work of Da Gama Papadopoulou. In the painting the aubergine, the tomato and the zucchini stand in the centre gazing heavily into the murky mantle of an obscure fog no doubt wondering about their potato friend and their uncertain future.
Gabriel Luis Armando Da Gama Papadopoulou is a Brazilian-Greek cucumber born in Rio de Janairo in 1987 and adopted by a family of Greek vine leaves. As a young cucumber suffered from vegexistential crisis since the childhood when he was bullied by Brazilian cats and pigeons. He then decided to move to Greece for a better life where he married a potato, but on the wedding night he found out that the potato was actually a rock. It followed a new existential depression that the critics calls the Rock period.
